Event Planner & Strategist

John Torrence is an event planner and strategist specializing in operation and logistic management within the business, finance, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) industry.

 

His experience spans over 10 years working with B2B and consumer media brands, and privately held corporations which include Seramount (formerly Working Mother Media), PEI Media, Diversity & Inclusion Television (DITV), and Bloomberg.

Through his event experience, John has become adept in overseeing all aspects of the events planning process from initial conception to final execution. He’s collaborated with content strategy teams which include editorial and program managers to design and develop agendas along with securing and prepping speakers.

 

John has created frameworks and detailed timelines to improve operational efficiencies, manage profit and loss (P&L) statements and lead design strategies for event branding with marketing stakeholders.  

John received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Print Journalism from Delaware State University, a Master of Fine Arts in Publishing with a concentration in Sales and Marketing from Rosemont College, and a Event DEI Strategist certificate from the Event Leadership Institute.
